Cuaderno Rojo is a digital platform that enhances kindergarten communication between schools, teachers, and parents. With features designed to keep families connected and informed, it builds a strong sense of community around each child’s school journey.
When we joined, the product had some features developed but lacked a friendly, approachable look and a solid brand identity. The challenge was to make the app visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent across all platforms, while building a brand strong enough to compete in the market from day one.
From the early stages, I worked on both UX and UI, creating a user-friendly interface that parents could navigate effortlessly, and a cohesive brand identity including the logo and a complete set of custom illustrations. My role as a graphic designer was to ensure consistency across all digital products and touchpoints, and to keep evolving the UI as new functionalities were added.
The goal was to launch, gain first clients, and position Cuaderno Rojo as a reliable communication tool. Almost 10 years later, it operates in nearly every country in Latin America, becoming one of the main channels connecting schools and families.
The impact has been so strong that it even received organic praise from public figures. As Migue Granados joked on his streaming show Olga:
“Every morning I get these little updates from Benito’s teacher: ‘Benito had breakfast,’ ‘Benito went to the toilet’… It’s amazing, I know more about my kid’s day than about my own.”
Today, Cuaderno Rojo stands out as a go-to solution for early education communication—proof that great design and a strong brand can drive adoption and long-term success.
