Context
Inverto Earth is a climate tech company based in Switzerland, founded in 2018 by Dr. Jörg German and Cameron Dowd. The two met at a drone fair in Frankfurt and bonded over a shared mission: using drone technology to restore coastal ecosystems. Inverto now operates globally, with mangrove restoration projects in Indonesia, the UAE, Australia, and Pakistan.
Mangroves are some of the most effective carbon-sequestering ecosystems on Earth. Inverto combines drone technology and ecological science to plant and monitor mangrove forests at scale, tracking soil health, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration. Their solution merges high-level aerial monitoring with in-depth ecological detail, positioning them at the cutting edge of nature-based climate solutions.
Challenge
Despite having a clear mission and innovative technology, Inverto Earth lacked a digital presence. They had no brand identity, a super basic website, and no user-facing tools to communicate their work or facilitate engagement. Their mission, to redefine the value of carbon credits through transparent, verifiable ecological impact was not supported by their digital experience.
This posed a significant barrier. The existing carbon credit space is plagued by low-quality credits, lack of transparency, and user skepticism. Inverto needed a brand and platform that could:
Build trust with users through clear and credible communication of data
Reflect their purpose and scientific rigor through design
Allow individuals and organisations to participate in ecosystem restoration in a tangible, data-backed way
They approached us to help them define a bold new visual identity, develop a fully branded website, and create a functional dashboard experience to track restoration impact over time.
Outcome
We delivered a cohesive brand, UX, and UI design system that positioned Inverto as a credible, forward-thinking force in climate tech.
Brand Identity
We developed a visual identity rooted in Inverto’s philosophy: blending macro drone perspectives with micro-level ecological data.
Logo: Inspired by mangrove root structures symbolising resilience and depth
Color Palette: Nature-led tones, deep blacks, greens, aquatic blues, and organic accents
Visual Language: Patterns referencing mangrove cells, crocodile skins, and native textures
Art Direction: Contrasting aerial imagery with close-ups to highlight Inverto’s unique perspective
Website Design
We designed a new marketing site to clearly communicate Inverto’s mission and activate engagement.
UX Strategy: Mapped user journeys from education to parcel sponsorship
Landing Page: Explained the value proposition with CTAs for individuals and businesses
Inverto Parcels: A micro-investment model offering 3x3m parcels from $5 to $500/year
Messaging: Focused on traceable, impact-driven restoration over traditional carbon credits
Dashboard UX & UI
We designed a data-rich dashboard for users and enterprise sponsors to track ecological impact.
UX Research: Explored how users interact with climate data to guide design decisions
UI System: Visualised parcel data, global project maps, biodiversity, CO₂ metrics, and before/after satellite imagery
Resources: Integrated downloadable reports, documentation, and project updates
Scalability & Growth
We created a full digital ecosystem—brand, web, and product—that translates ecological impact into tangible user experiences. Every design decision was built for clarity, trust, and scale.
Since launch, Inverto has secured partnerships with global tech firms like HP Enterprise, marking its rise from stealth startup to climate tech leader.
